A. Name: The name of this organization shall be known as the NORTH DAKOTA JR. POINTS SHOW ASSOCIATION.
B. Fiscal Year: The fiscal year for the North Dakota Jr. Points Show Association shall run from October 1 to September 30.
C. Membership: Individuals must be eight years of age and cannot be more than twenty-one years of age by October 1 of the fiscal year.
D. Equal Opportunity Policy: The North Dakota Jr. Points Show Association in its programs, activities, and appointments will not discriminate against person’s on the basis of race, religion, creed, color, sex, disability, sexual orientation, national origin, political beliefs or affiliations. |

Article II |
PURPOSE |
A. To bring together the Beef, Sheep, Swine, and Goat groups under one working group to work toward the same interests – promoting Junior Livestock shows in North Dakota.
B. To form one group to facilitate solicitation of sponsorships.
C. To work with the Association of Fairs to regain interest in livestock shows
D. To work with the different livestock associations in North Dakota to promote the livestock industry.
E. To set up and get sponsorship for Junior point shows in North Dakota
F. To educate youth on the proper and ethical way to care for and show their animals.
G. To create leadership opportunities that will allow youth to demonstrate and strengthen their leadership skills. |

Article III |
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE |
A. Membership: The executive committee shall consist of the President, Vice President – Beef, Vice President – Sheep, Vice President – Swine, Secretary and Treasure.
B. Qualification: Must be a current dues paying member of the North Dakota Junior Points Show Association. |

C. Powers and Duties |
- President
a. The President shall preside over all official meetings.
b. The President shall vote only in case of a tie.
- Vice President:
a. The Vice Presidents shall be a general assistant to the President.
b. Each species Vice President shall represent the interests of each species.
- Secretary
a. The Secretary shall keep accurate records of all meetings and make minutes available to all of the members.
- Treasurer
- a. The Treasure shall keep an accurate record of all financial transactions and report these balances to the members. b. The Treasurer will be responsible for presenting a year-end fiscal report.

D. Adult Advisory Board: |
- The North Dakota Association of Fairs shall select the adult advisory board.
- The advisory board’s responsibilities are to guide the North Dakota Jr. Points Show Association, give input when asked for by the members, and to report back to the North Dakota Association of Fairs.

E. Meetings: |
The species annual meeting will be held during the ND Junior Point Show that is held in June. A minimum of four more meetings shall be held throughout the fiscal year. |

Article IV |
ELECTIONS AND TERMS OF OFFICE |
A. Election of officers shall take place at the last meeting of the fiscal year.
B. Terms of Office: The term of office shall be for two years commencing October 1 and terminating September 30 two years after election to position.
C. Two species representatives will be selected during the ND Junior Point Show to serve on the executive board.
D. Board members must attend a minimum of two meetings during the fiscal year. If a board member does not meet this requirement, they will be asked to resign their position, and the species committee will be responsible for finding a replacement. |

Article V |
AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION |
A. Proposed amendments to the Constitution must be submitted to the President at least two weeks prior to the annual meeting.
B. Two/thirds majority of those present and voting shall adopt an amendment. |

Article VI |
BY-LAWS |
A. The Bylaws shall in no way conflict with the principles set forth in the constitution.
B. Proposed amendments to the bylaws shall be given to the Executive Committee at least two weeks prior to the annual meeting.
C. An amendment to the bylaws shall be adopted by a majority of officers attending the meeting. |

Part 1. General |

Part 3. Finances |
Dues: Annual dues will be $20.00 per species shown
Collection: The Treasure will collect and deposit dues
Authorization of expenditures: Majority vote of members
Audit committee: Books will be audited annually by a committee appointed by the executive committee.

Committees will be created as needed and positions filled voluntarily and by Appointment of the executive committee.
